Mack Crash Report

Well Mack Weil Racing fans...it's not the weekend we were hoping for as it was full of emotions, sadness and heartbreak.

Our season was perfect up until this weekend and our points lead made it so we either had to finish 4th in the first race to clinch the #1 National Championship plate or we just had to finish both races no matter where we placed. However, there are things you can and can't control with racing...and taking the "need to win" out of a racer is almost impossible.

In race one, two laps in Mack collided with a fellow racer. Mack was already tipped in committed to his corner but unfortunately, they came together and both ended up crashing. Mack suffered a concussion in the crash and due to certain protocols, he wasn't medically cleared to race the following day. This is where the heartbreak happened as we then sat the following day and watched the championship slip through his fingers.

We did however learn a lot this weekend. We want to thank the racers that stopped by to check on him, share similar stories and just let him know they understood his frustration as well as all our race families. We also want to thank Doc Walker for the expert care and follow-up visits and our fellow racer Maryse for some help trying to work on his neck. In the end, we lost the #1 plate to a well-deserved Harvey Renaud by 16 points. Hats off to Harvey as he rode amazing all weekend and definitely deserves it!

We finished our 2021 CSBK Lightweight Sportbike season in 2nd place. We also won 1st overall in the new Regional Pro6GP series. Huge thanks to Sandy and Sheena. We're not sure what's next for Mack but a 600 might be in the cards...Mack needs a job first though lol 😆

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone that made this possible. Without your support none of this is possible and Mack can't imagine a day that he couldn't ride.
